whats the best carb for overall power...?

Jan 27, 2012 - 7:51 PM - by 96targalxfan
I've got a 96 targa lx with the a35 and the 1412 carb with a 58 jet and no airfilter and can run a top speed of 42 mph and it don't not cut out at all so I'm pretty happy with it but if anyone knows or can tell me a better carb like the 1515 or 1616 can help me get a little more power out of my stock 50cc cylinder and head. Any opinions at all are more
than helpful an will reply asap

shaving the head on a 50cc a35???

Jan 26, 2012 - 6:24 PM - by 96targalxfan
Has anybody tried shaving their stock cylinder head to make more compression and or low end power? I've got a 58 jet in the 1412 carb and run no filter with a big open exhaust an I can run 42 but I'm wondering if I should take a tiny bit off the head to get just a little more outta the stock cylinder? Any info will be great thanks and ride hard

Carb Adjustments.

Jan 26, 2012 - 12:15 PM - by JPD686
I have a 2008 Tomos Arrow R. on the carb there is a little knob to turn by hand.... does turning it clockwise lean it out? or counter-clockwise make it more rich?

And there is a small screw to the left, im guessing its an idle air screw.... clockwise to lean, counter clockwise to richen if im not correct?

I have recently put an a K&N Filter (Lordco had one for $23.00 and it fit PERFECT! 1-3/8 hole) and got rid of stock airbox, so i want to make sure im not... [Read More]

Battery on my 08 sprint

Jan 24, 2012 - 2:22 AM - by dunning11
Im looking to put a small battery on my 08 sprint kick-start and im wondering if its possible, and if it is what do I need and how do I wire it in? I know I need to buy a rectifier to convert ac to dc, but will the stock magneto on the sprint be able to keep the battery charged? I heard the magneto on sprints are not that powerful.

Spark jumping to block? & No high beam.

Jan 23, 2012 - 9:20 PM - by JPD686
for some reason the spark is jumping to the block after riding a little bit.... i have been riding in dirt and water, not deep water, and not ripping through it. I suspect dirt and water are probably the cause, but are the NGK sparkplug wire type deal any better at preventing this?

High Beam: I just noticed as i was coming home as well, the high beam does not seem to go "High" at all.... it is very hard to see when dark on my road since there are no street lights and... [Read More]
